International School awarded re-accreditation status

Local | By Press release January 31, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - On January 3, the International School of Curaçao earned re-accreditation through the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).  Conferred by the CIS Board of Trustees, the International School of Curaçao “Has achieved International Accreditation, a mark of recognition held exclusively by schools around the world that exemplify high quality standards in international education.”

The re-accreditation process began in December 2019 with a preparatory visit from representatives of CIS and NEASC.  With input from a broad range of the school’s stakeholders, a comprehensive self-study report was submitted to the agencies in September, 2021 and the full visit, comprised of a seven-member team representing both agencies, was conducted virtually in November.  The visiting team spent a week meeting with faculty and staff, students, parents, school leaders, and board members.  As a result of the visit, a full report written by the evaluation team was submitted to the head office of both agencies for final review and approval.

The International School is pleased to announce its re-accreditation status, valid for the next five years, until the process of renewal begins again.  In addition to accreditation status from CIS and NEASC, the International School is also authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and Middle Years Program and is currently working towards authorization of the Primary Years Program.

With nearly 55 years of excellence, the International School remains committed to providing the best possible education for our students and strive for continual improvement.  Interested to know more about ISC?  Visit the school’s website at www.isc.cw or contact the Admission’s office at: admissions@isc.cw.  Enrollment for school year 2022-2023 is now open for all grade levels!
