WILLEMSTAD - ENNIA, together with other insurance companies, is introducing the digital insurance certificate for motor vehicles. This gives car owners their insurance certificate via their mobile phone. This project was initiated by insurers with the approval of the authorities.
The digital insurance certificate facilitates checks in traffic and at the authorities. Forensys, the recipient and the police scan the QR code of the insurance certificate of the telephone of the insured and then immediately have all the data associated with the insurance certificate.

With this new technique, the validation process is more efficient and up-to-date. This has streamlined cooperation between insurers and the government.
The digital insurance certificate draws up the insurer and e-mails it to the insured, who can then easily download it on the phone. A visit to the insurer is no longer necessary and the insurance certificate is always accessible by phone without internet.
The digital insurance certificate is introduced across the branch. ENNIA is introducing the digital insurance certificate in phases, starting with a test period.
In the future it will be possible to make other data accessible via this system. This project has been developed and will be further led by the Curacao company INSight Insurance Platform.
