WILLEMSTAD - On Monday this week, the Refineria di Korsou, the Curaçao Refinery (RdK), filed a summary proceeding against the Venezuelan company Isla Curazao, because they are frustrating the process of finding a strategic partner. Isla did this by not allowing foreign delegations who had expressed an interest in the refinery to speak to key figures within the refinery. This involved members of the management who could provide information about, for example, preventive maintenance at the refinery and safety.
But in the end, the summary proceeding was dismissed.
A compromise has been reached between the parties, so that the talks between the foreign delegation - which is currently in Curaçao to view the refinery - and managers working at the refinery can still take place.
