WILLEMSTAD - George Jamaloodin repeated in his closing speech at the end of the seventh day of trial that he had not ordered the murder of Helmin Wiels.
The former Member of Parliament and leftist leader was shot on May 5, 2013 on the beach of Marie Pampoen just east of Willemstad.

Fonseca is seen as a murder broker who again ordered boys in Koraal Specht to murder the popular politician. He has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for this.
“I had a good friendship with Wiels, he often stood up for me. I also know his brother Aubert well, that is my friend. There is therefore no logic that I am on trial here.
The Court needs five weeks to reach a decision. The treatment of the case will formally end on 12 February, followed by a verdict on 5 March.
