WILLEMSTAD - In Curaçao, several people reacted shocked to the arrest of "Jason Vic". He is very active on Facebook and especially asks for attention for people who need help. In July last year, he set up a major campaign to collect school materials for children from families whose parents have little money.
He has now been arrested on suspicion of fraud and forging forms. He would have defrauded shopkeepers for 50,000 guilders in making support packages for the less fortunate. The police had asked him to come to the police station in Montaña yesterday. There he was arrested. The case is still under investigation.
