WILLEMSTAD - Finance Minister Javier Silvania will soon be on a working visit to Washington D.C. There will be a meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank from April 18 to 24. The activities of the two financial institutions will be discussed during the so-called Spring Meeting.
The delegation of Curaçao consists of the Minister of Finance and the President of the Central Bank. The agenda includes a meeting with the department that deals with macroeconomic developments and prospects for Curaçao. The possibilities for technical assistance from the IMF in the areas of public finances and financial supervision are also being examined.
