WILLEMSTAD - On June 3rd, a tribute event honoring Mr. Louis Gibbs and Alfonso Blijden took place in Sint Maarten, featuring boxers from various islands including the Bahamas, Antigua, Anguilla, Aruba, St Maarten, Sint Martin, and Curaçao.
The highlight of the event was the main bout between Jaydon Dania from Curaçao and Malcolm Philips from Sint Maarten. Notably, Malcolm Philips is well-known in Curaçao, having claimed the title of "Best Boxer of the Event" at the CuraBox events in both 2018 and 2019.
In this thrilling encounter held in Sint Maarten, Jaydon Dania emerged as the victor, earning the accolade of "Best Boxer of the Battle of the Islands."
