PARIS - Jean-Julien Rojer, alongside his partner Marcelo Arévalo from El Salvador, has successfully reached the quarterfinals of the doubles event at Roland Garros. In the upcoming quarterfinal match, Rojer will face his fellow countryman Matwé Middelkoop.

The 41-year-old Rojer, who hails from Curaçao, and Arévalo secured their spot in the last eight after defeating Michael Venus from New Zealand and Jamie Murray from Britain with a score of 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday.

In the quarterfinals, Rojer will compete against Matwé Middelkoop, who also advanced to the quarterfinals alongside his German partner Andreas Mies. Their victory came in a convincing fashion, defeating Lloyd Glasspool from Britain and Harri Heliovaara from Finland, the fifth-seeded pair in Paris, with a score of 6-4, 6-2.

Rojer and Middelkoop have crossed paths before. Earlier this year, during the Australian Open, Rojer and Arévalo emerged victorious in the third round of the men's doubles, prevailing over Middelkoop and Robin Haase.
