DETROIT - Jonathan Schoop will also play in the Major League for Detroit Tigers next season. The 29-year-old Curaçaoan extended his contract for one season and thus earns 8 million guilders.

Schoop previously played in the MLB for the Baltimore Orioles, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Minnesota Twins. Last year he already played for Detroit Tigers.
The infielder was selected for the prestigious All Star Game in 2017.
Schoop also played twice with the Orange squad in the World Baseball Classic.
