KEM is not eager to support cabinet Pisas

Local | By Correspondent July 9, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - KEM, the party of Member of Parliament Michelangelo Martines, is not eager to support the cabinet of Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas. The opposition Member of Parliament compared the cabinet to a car that could collide at any moment. During the elections, KEM, MFK and PNP were against the conditions set by the Netherlands for liquidity support. According to Martines, the parties are now doing the opposite of what was promised during the elections.

MFK and PNP currently have 13 seats together. If KEM participates in the coalition, there would be sufficient seats in parliament to be able to implement legislative changes, including the screening act. As a result of that law, no fewer than 2 candidates did not pass the screening process for ministers when forming the Pisas cabinet.
