KEM leader Martines denies involvement in cocaine robbery

Local | By Correspondent August 15, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Michelangelo 'Lo' Martines (KEM) has nothing to do with the theft of 600 kilos of cocaine from the Rio Canario police station. The KEM leader himself says this in response to an official report in which Martines is linked to the case.

According to the Member of Parliament, an official report is not verifiable. According to Martines, the accusation is unfounded. It would be an anonymous statement. The KEM leader indicates that an accusation such as this is unnecessary and causes irreparable damage.

In 2018, 600 kilograms of seized cocaine was stolen from the Rio Canario police station. In December 2021, three suspects were arrested in Curaçao. The case was heard on Wednesday.
