Local | By Correspondent January 20, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The child sexual abuse prevention campaign Kiko i e Man visited School Immanuël in Brievengat on Monday as part of the program “100 Days of School and 100 Days Extra Fit.” The initiative aims to raise awareness about the prevention of child sexual abuse and to promote a safe and supportive school environment.

During the visit, Kiko and e Man engaged with students in a didactic and accessible manner, tailoring the discussions to different age groups. Children received awareness booklets designed to help them recognize inappropriate situations and to encourage them to speak with a trusted adult if they ever feel unsafe.

As a gesture of appreciation, all twelve teachers at the school received a Kiko i e Man tumbler in recognition of their important role in the care, education and protection of children. In addition, copies of the Kiko i e Man and Kiko i e Yendiminan booklets were left behind for grades 1, 2 and 3, allowing the awareness message to remain part of classroom activities.

Students also received small gift bags from Kiko and e Man. According to the organization, the positive response from both pupils and staff highlights the value of preventive initiatives that address sensitive topics in a clear, age-appropriate and positive way.
