THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - The Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved various nominations for the joint Court of Justice on the islands. All appointments are on the recommendation of Minister Franc Weerwind for Legal Protection, also on behalf of his colleagues from Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. The appointments will take effect on September 1.
So is J.R. Veerman appointed to the Joint Court of Justice. Veerman is currently a judge at the Gelderland District Court.
G.A.F.M. Wouters in addition to being a member of the Joint Court of Justice, will also become the new vice-president of the Joint Court and will therefore have the Sint Maarten branch in his portfolio as manager. He is currently working as a judge at the Rotterdam District Court.
The Kingdom Council of Ministers has also approved the appointment of M. Wolfrat as a deputy member of the Joint Court of Justice. She is now a counselor at the Central Appeals Board.
