WILLEMSTAD - The Kitten Rescue Curacao Foundation is entering into an intensive collaboration with the Blue Bay Cats Café. In this way, the foundation hopes to be able to help more resorts in an animal-friendly way with nuisance from stray cats.
The Blue Bay Cats Café is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who have been taking care of the stray cats that live on the Blue Bay site for many years. All stray cats at the resort are sterilized and fed at various locations. Kitten Rescue indicates that many resorts and hotels decide to have the stray cats 'removed' because they are a nuisance, but that this does not solve the problem, because new cats come in their place.
The foundation also calls on other resorts that are bothered by stray cats to contact them in order to jointly look for an animal-friendly solution.
