KLM makes face masks mandatory on board

Local | By Correspondent May 5, 2020

SCHIPHOL - The Dutch aviation company KLM makes the wearing of face masks mandatory. The measure will take effect starting Monday, May 11. Passengers must bring their own face masks.

KLM says it has taken further measures. Where possible, seats are deliberately left empty on board and contact moments between crew and passengers are minimal. The latter means that catering onboard has been simplified.

There are also extra hygiene equipment on board such as hand sanitizers and one toilet is only for crews on every flight. The mandatory face mask for travelers certainly applies until the end of August.
