WILLEMSTAD - Undersecretary Raymond Knops of Kingdom Relations says he cannot understand why the Curaçao ministers had to increase their salary scale after they had cut it by 25%.
It is not clear to him what the reason was behind this. He emphasizes that the Netherlands had nothing to do with the increase in the salary scale.
Minister of Administration, Planning and Services Armin Konket recently explained that the ministers had to move to a higher salary scale after implementing a cut that the Netherlands had demanded. According to him, that was an official advice.
