WILLEMSTAD — Kolegio Prof. Dr. Alejandro Paula (KAP) dedicated the past week to raising awareness among students about issues such as bullying, peer pressure, vaping and cyberbullying. Through workshops and joint activities, the school aimed to highlight the impact of these behaviors on students’ well-being.

Following an opening address by the school’s management, students took part in educational workshops prepared in collaboration with several organizations, including the Curaçao Police Force, addiction care services and Jeugdzorg FAJ.

According to the school, the sessions were held in an open and educational atmosphere, allowing students to engage in dialogue, listen to one another and reflect on the importance of respecting personal boundaries and taking responsibility for their own behavior.

Symbolic Commitment

A special moment during the week took place when all first-year students placed their fingerprints on the school’s “Palu di Famia”. With this symbolic gesture, the students expressed their commitment to a school environment centered on respect, safety and acceptance, where everyone can be themselves without fear.

KAP stated that it will continue working together with students to foster a learning environment free of bullying, in which young people can grow up in a climate of understanding, support and solidarity.
