Kranshi calls for official documents to be checked

Local | By Correspondent June 15, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The Civil Registrar's Office (Kranshi) calls on all residents of Curaçao to check their identity documents for their expiry date.

The population register has experienced that with the upcoming summer holidays, many people discover too late that their passport, driving license or sédula is no longer valid or will expire soon.

The same applies to students who will go to the Netherlands to study in the coming academic year. Drivers licenses are often forgotten. The validity of a passport often needs to be more than six months upon arrival in a country. A timely appointment via the Permits Desk prevents unpleasant situations, says Kranshi.
