WILLEMSTAD - The Joint Court of Justice has sentenced 4 suspects of human trafficking to prison terms of up to 4 years on appeal. The 4 suspects were previously convicted in 2019 for exploiting Venezuelan ‘drinking’ or trago girls.
The women would receive a wage that was far too low and would be put to work under poor conditions.
According to the Court, sexual exploitation would also have taken place, from which the suspects made considerable profit.
