WILLEMSTAD - During the first International Sports Week Curaçao, an initiative by the Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou, FDDK, LABdeMED is providing various educational workshops specifically aimed at diabetes patients.
This is in the context of World Diabetes Day, which carries the theme "Know your risk, know your reaction" this year. The workshops will be held at Sambil on November 18 and 19.
The workshops are designed not only to inform patients but also the rest of Curaçao about the risks of diabetes and how to manage them to prevent the disease.
LABdeMED emphasizes the importance of early detection and management of the disease and therefore offers free sugar tests to participants of the event. These tests are crucial for the early detection of diabetes, a disease that affects both young and old and whose impact can be significantly reduced through early intervention.

Healthcare Providers
Additionally, LABdeMED is organizing a special educational session for healthcare providers. This session aims to support healthcare professionals and provide them with the latest information and techniques for the treatment and care of diabetes patients.
LABdeMED hopes that by collaborating with FDDK during the International Sports Week, they can reach a broader audience and have a positive impact on the health of the Curaçao community.
