WILLEMSTAD - A group of Curaçao lawyers is preparing summary proceedings. On behalf of several prisoners in the SDKK, they want to enforce the right for early release.
According to the lawyers, some of the prisoners should be eligible to go home with the ankle monitoring bracelet for the last part of their sentence. But there is a shortage of functioning devices.
In order to enforce this right, the lawyers want to go to court. It is not yet clear when the hearing will take place.
