Legalization of dark tinted car windows started

Local | By Correspondent October 6, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament for the coalition party MFK Fergino Brownbill wants cars to have dark tinted windows again. He has restarted the process of amending the law regarding tinted glass, so that people will soon be able to 'tint' their front windows.

A few years ago, the MFK faction submitted the Draft National Ordinance amending the Road Traffic Ordinance Curaçao Articles 88, 89, 90 paragraph 1, part c sub 4.

Brownbill wants citizens to have the right to tint their front windows up to a maximum of 40%. The Member of Parliament considers it a necessary right, because in his view the sun's rays are now a lot brighter than before.

"It's not a luxury, it's a way to help people protect their assets," Brownbill said.
