WILLEMSTAD - Leila Matroos-Lasten, until recently acting director of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, does not respond to the request to take a mandatory leave of absence.
The Supervisory Board had recently asked Matroos-Lasten by letter. The council wants her to go on holiday because an investigation is being conducted into the possible leakage of information by Matroos-Lasten herself.
She insists that she is innocent and therefore sees no reason to accept the mandatory leave of absence.
