LEO Club Willemstad wins 3rd place in worldwide contest

WILLEMSTAD - The younger of the 2 LEO Clubs in Curaçao, won 3rd prize in a worldwide contest, where they needed to reflect on a few questions and answers in 3 minutes.

The first and second winners were Tunisia and Brazil. This contest winners were announced on LEO International Day.

LEO Club is a worldwide program, which is sponsored by a Lions Club. Worldwide there are 7,200 Leo Clubs, more than 130,000 Leo Members in 150+ countries.

LEO stands for Leadership Experience and Opportunity, where the youngsters are given the opportunity to become better leaders and experience community service, organizations and other key factors they would use in their future.

In Curaçao, the Lions Club has chartered LEO Club Willemstad, an ALPHA Club (13-18 years old) in May of 2018 and LEO Club Curaçao, an Omega Club (18-30 years old) in April 1984.

LEOs not only organize their own fundraising events and giving back to the community, but also assisting the Lions Club with their community projects.
