Limestone Resort must be demolished within 2 months

Local | By Correspondent August 11, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - The Limestone Resort on the Spanish Water in Brakkeput must be vacated and demolished within two months. That was decided by the court on appeal. The Jungslager family has been renting the site from the Johannes Bosco foundation for decades. They raised the rent a number of times, but the Jungslagers were unwilling or unable to pay.

The conflict has been going on for about ten years. Two years ago, the verdict was in the first instance, now on appeal. Everything must be gone from the judge within two months, and the Jungslagers still have to pay 57 thousand guilders in arrears. The Limestone resort is a small-scale eco-resort in Brakkeput Ariba, also popular for staycations.
