WILLEMSTAD - From October 31 to November 7, the KNBSB in Curaçao organizes the Kingdom Series. A unique event, in which a large group of the best players from the Kingdom of the Netherlands prepares for the World Baseball Classic with Team Kingdom of the Netherlands. The event is made possible by the organization’s new partner Maduro & Curiel's Bank.
Maduro & Curiel's Bank (MCB) is a private Dutch Caribbean bank and financial services provider headquartered in Willemstad. MCB has branches in Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, and Sint Eustatius, making it the largest bank in the Caribbean part of our Kingdom.
In addition, the bank has always supported sports within the Kingdom. An ideal partner for Team Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom Series. The Kingdom Series is the preparation for the Kingdom Team for the largest baseball tournament in the world: the World Baseball Classic. At this tournament, the team of national coach Hensley Meulens will try to conquer the world again after placing sensational in the semi-finals in 2013 and 2017. During the Kingdom Series, the Kingdom Team will practice and compete in the Tio Daou Stadium. On November 4 and 5, games will be played against Aruba at 10:30 AM (local time) and on November 6 at 7:00 PM against Sta Maria Pirates.
