WILLEMSTAD - Selikor has started the major clean-up campaign 'Ban Limpia Korsou' in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN).
The waste collection company will start cleaning work in various neighborhoods and along the main roads. Trees and branches that obstruct traffic will also be removed. Together with the Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP), the cleaning of the ditches and beaches is coordinated.
In addition, Selikor will offer additional services. For example, residents' bulky waste is now collected twice a month, instead of once. The amount of waste that citizens can bring to the Landfill for free will also be increased. At the moment, residents are allowed to dump 1,000 kilos of waste for free at the landfill every year. The maximum is increased to 2,000 kilos per year.
Selikor is counting on the community's help to carry out the action in a successful and responsible manner.
