WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao has taken a major step towards the Final Four of the Nations League in the CONCACAF zone. The team of national coach Remko Bicentini ended with a draw against Costa Rica: 0-0.
The base team of Bicentini had a high Eredivisie level. Elson Hooi and Jurien Gaari belonged to the base, as did former Eredivisie players Brandley Kuwas, the brothers Leandro and Juninho Bacuna and Eloy Room.
Because of the draw against the Costa Ricans, Curaçao remains the leader in group 4 of League A. Next month, Curaçao will play the return against top favorite Costa Rica. In the event of a win, the Curaçao team assure itself a ticket to the Final Four of the Nations League
