WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Traffic, Transport un Urban Planning calls on all car owners who need to have their car inspected to make an appointment themselves.
Previously, the permit counter automatically makes an appointment based on the data in the vehicle registration system. But sending such an appointment has proved to be too expensive for the government, especially during this time of financial crisis.
That is why the department is asking all to make their own appointment. If a vehicle owner is late with this mandatory inspection, he or she will not pay 30 but 60 guilders.
