WILLEMSTAD - The coastal area of Malpais Nature Park has been declared a “landfill area” according to the Unique Curaçao Foundation. The road from Sint Michiel Liber to Bullen Bay would look like an alternative landfill.
The Foundation reports that there is serious pollution at about 35 locations. This concerns deposits of household waste, clothing, furniture, and debris. Two polluters would be known and Stichting Uniek Curaçao says it will publish their names and file a complaint if they do not remove their waste. Poles have now been placed on with signs indicating to way to the official landfill.
