WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday evening, July 24, around 11:02 p.m., police arrested a 56-year-old man, H.J.E., born in Curaçao, for assault and threatening officers. The police responded to a call on Weg naar Westpunt, where a woman with facial injuries needed assistance.
The victim stated that her partner had assaulted her while under the influence of alcohol. During his arrest, the suspect threatened the police and was subsequently taken into custody pending further investigation.
