WILLEMSTAD - The intellectual author of the fire in the tax office on August 22, 2019 has today been sentenced to 10 years in prison. It concerns the 49-year-old S.F.
In addition, the man was held responsible for money laundering, theft and for stolen goods. The penalty is equal to the prosecution's demand. In October 2020, the Common Court of Justice already sentenced one of the perpetrators of the controversial arson at the tax office to a prison term of 4 years.
The evidence in the case against S.F. includes a report of arson, the result of a technical investigation, incriminating statements by the perpetrators of the arson, and the result of wiretaps.
