WILLEMSTAD - The opposition party MAN finds the way in which Finance Minister Javier Silvania treats civil servants shameful. The party said this during a recent press conference. MAN accuses the minister of sowing fear and panic in his ministry.
According to the party, the minister’s recent performance in the media is worthy of a vote of no confidence. Images from a local television channel recently showed how the minister vehemently addressed the head of the Tax Inspectorate about backlogs in processing tax returns.
According to MAN, this was not the only time the minister behaved in such a way. Silvania is also said to have exhibited similar behavior at other meetings, the party said.
