WILLEMSTAD - The man who wanted to have 1 million guilders from the government can better forget that money. He thought he could claim a land next to his own house in the Las Almas district.
On that piece of property, there is an abandoned house which is on someone's name since 1831. The man is said to have signed a purchase contract with a 94-year-old heir.
But the judge says he cannot determine that the elderly man is the heir of that property.
