WILLEMSTAD - The opposition party MAN has asked for financial support from the government in a parliamentary meeting. The party declares that the government should make an arrangement that provides support to mainly small companies on the island.
The government's plan is to lower the profit tax so that companies pay 15 percent instead of 22 percent. This only ensures that the government receives less income. The MAN faction would like to see prices fall for the entire population. “Everyone knows that living is expensive and that so far no relief has been offered from the government,” said a spokesman for MAN.
MAN's appeal is therefore a reduction in taxes for the entire community so that families have more money left over. Now, the middle class is being neglected, the party says. The aim is to reduce costs, making life a little easier for everyone financially.
