Mangrove Park opens July 1

Local | By Correspondent June 28, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The Mangrove Park is finally opening its doors. From Friday 1 July everyone is welcome in the nature reserve near Rif. The park is managed by the Caribbean Research and Management of Biodiversity  (Carmabi). The foundation does this on behalf of the government.

A second mangrove park will be realized in the near future. This comes on the east side of the Corendon resort to Coney Island. Mangroves are crucial for marine life and shorebirds. Curaçao has three types of mangrove trees. These can be seen in the park.
