WILLEMSTAD – On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Stichting Manumit paid an introductory visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort.
The delegation was led by Manumit’s president, Kristoffer Kierindongo, who was accompanied by board members Shuzelle Kierindongo-Landburg (secretary), René Hooi (board member), and Andy Leer (treasurer).
During the meeting, the foundation outlined its core mission: preserving and promoting the authenticity of Curaçao’s culture, with entrepreneurship serving as a key instrument to strengthen cultural expression and sustainability. The discussion highlighted Manumit’s vision of combining cultural heritage with economic initiative to foster long-term community engagement.

Governor De Kort expressed his appreciation for the foundation’s efforts and emphasized the importance of cultural and social involvement from civil society in safeguarding Curaçao’s heritage.
The visit underscored the growing role of private initiatives and foundations in supporting cultural development and reinforcing Curaçao’s identity.
