KRALENDIJK, WILLEMSTAD - The navy saved six Venezuelan fishermen at sea last Friday. Their boat drifted more than 100 kilometers off the coast north of Bonaire.
Eight days before, they had engine trouble when they were close to Trinidad and Tobago and drifted out in the direction of the ABC islands.
The crew had been without food and water for days. All six were picked up by the zr. Ms Groningen and brought to Bonaire. They are now receiving medical at the hospital on the island.
