WILLEMSTAD - Maroeska Scholte was elected and recommended by the majority at the Court meeting in December to fill the position of Vice President of the Court of Justice.

As vice president, Scholte is part of the board of the Court and she will be responsible for the offices in Curaçao and Bonaire. Pending her official appointment, Scholte has already been designated by the board as acting vice president with effect from 1 January 2022.
Scholte succeeds Mauritsz de Kort. He was sworn in as president of the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba on Tuesday.
