MCB Online and ATM Services Fully Restored After Technical Outage

Local | By Correspondent January 16, 2026

WILLEMSTAD — Maduro & Curiel’s Bank has confirmed that all of its digital and payment services are now back online following a technical disruption earlier this week that affected customers across Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba.

The bank reported that online banking, payment cards and ATM services had experienced interruptions, leaving many personal and business customers temporarily unable to complete transactions. According to customer reports, some debit cards were declined with an “invalid card” message during the outage.

MCB took to social media to inform clients that technical teams were working urgently to resolve the issue. The bank also clarified that while its own credit cards could still be used at ATMs and payment terminals of other banks, its online and mobile services were temporarily offline while engineers addressed the problem.

In a latest update, MCB announced that all systems have now been restored. This includes Online Banking, the Mobile App, point-of-sale payments and ATM access. The bank thanked customers for their patience and understanding during the disruption.

MCB is the largest financial institution serving the ABC islands — Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao — and plays a central role in the everyday financial activities of individuals and businesses throughout the region.

Customers are encouraged to resume normal use of their banking services and to contact MCB’s support center for any remaining questions or issues.
