WILLEMSTAD - According to Member of Parliament Giselle McWilliam, there is a dangerous situation in the area of the Chuchubiweg, Reigerweg and Alablancaweg. McWilliam has sent a letter about this to Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Development Zita Jesus-Leito.
McWilliam says he has received several complaints from residents about speeding cars. Because many students of the Radulphus College walk in the area, the situation is dangerous, according to the parliamentarian. She wants speed bumps to be built.
In her letter to Minister Zita-Leito, McWilliam asks whether the minister is aware of the dangerous situation. She also wants to know why nothing has previously been done to make the traffic situation safer. According to her, local residents have complained to the government about the unsafe situation for years.
