WILLEMSTAD - Former minister Stanley Bodok is of the opinion that Members Parliament from the opposition and coalition should embark on a mediation process. According to Bodok, there is a serious crisis in parliament because several times have not met due to a boycott by the opposition.
Bodok believes that a mediation attempt by an independent party should take place. According to the former minister, there are enough people in Curaçao who have experience in this. The aim is to limit the damage for both parties as much as possible.
Bodok was a member of an interim government set up after the fall of the Schotte government in 2012. He believes that the President of Parliament Ana Maria Pauletta should take the initiative to initiate a mediation process and thus actually stand above the parties. According to him, she is now causing irritation and confrontation in parliament. And that does not suit a President of Parliament, says Bodok.
