WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Health and the tax authorities seized hundreds of frozen products today. The wholesaler Livoni Agencies had more than twenty pallets with, among other things, salmon, baguette, pizza and croquettes whose best-before date had already passed in a refrigerated warehouse.
Some have been unfitting for consumption since 2020. The products, which were intended for the catering industry, were taken to the waste processing company Selikor. There they are destroyed. MEO was tipped off about the huge stock of frozen products that are out of date. Business owners are responsible for the destruction of perishable food that has expired.
