WILLEMSTAD - Despite repeated requests from the government to the community to avoid gathering, many people still gather in large groups.
This is according to the inspection team of the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) and the police.
Eight sites were visited for inspection on one night this week. MEO and the police decided to inspect BBQ stands, restaurants, bars, and casinos. Many of these places had large crowds. The businesses have received a warning for this.
One of the BBQ stands was closed because there was loud music, and two employees of South American descent had no inspection papers and no identity document. Another restaurant was closed because it was still open well after the closing time -10 o'clock in the evening.
More inspections will be carried out in the coming days.
