WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo) issued a code yellow on Thursday for rough seas. The warning applies to the northern and eastern coastal areas of the island.
The swell and strong winds can cause rough seas on the coast. The weather service warns that the waves could cause possible damage to small boats and beach tents.
Seafarers with small vessels going to sail are requested to exercise caution. Swimmers are advised to stay close to shore.
