WILLEMSTAD - Utility company Aqualectra must start offering internet in Curaçao from 2022. This is according to the leader of the opposition party MFK Gilmar "Pik" Pisas in a radio interview.
According to Pisas, there are many problems with the internet on the island, especially on Banda Bou, the part of the island where he comes from.
The MFK leader says that he was against the sale of UTS to Flow that there is now little he can do about the situation with Flow / UTS. According to Pisas, Aqualectra has many fiber optic cables running on the island and could therefore provide a much better service than Flow / UTS.
