MFK asks questions about the disappearance of Pagafasil sales points

Local | By Correspondent March 25, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - In a letter to the Minister of Economic Development Ruisandro Cijntje, the MFK faction in parliament voiced its concern about the disappearance of several Pagafasil sales points.

Member of Parliament Ramon Yung says in the letter that information available to him would indicate that the contracts with multiple outlets are being terminated. Aqualectra bought the Pagafasil system from the PSB Bank some time ago to further expand the service for customers. The utility has now sold the system to Utility Financial Services (UFS), terminating several sales contracts.

According to the information held by the MFK, there are currently only 15 purchase points. The intention is that the sale of Pagatinu will take place more online, Yung writes in his letter. “However, a large majority of the population cannot buy Pagatinu online. In addition, the internet is not always stable," concludes the MP.

In his letter, Yung asks Cijntje whether it is correct that Pagafisil will be sold from 1 April and whether the minister can explain why Aqualectra is selling the system to UFS. In addition, the MFK MP asks questions about the number of points of sale that will remain under contract.
