WILLEMSTAD – Mi Negoshi Shared & Support Services (Mi Negoshi, meaning My Business) is looking back on a significant and productive year in 2025, marked by measurable results and strengthened partnerships in support of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Curaçao.

Operating under the mandate of Minister of Economic Development Roderick Middelhof, and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) and Stichting Beheer MKB Fondsen, Mi Negoshi translated policy objectives into concrete outcomes. The organization officially opened its doors to entrepreneurs in December 2024 and has since positioned itself as a key support structure for local business development.
Mi Negoshi is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development aimed at stimulating, guiding and strengthening MSMEs by helping entrepreneurs operate legally, structurally and sustainably. Through this approach, the organization contributes to economic growth and job creation on the island.
Measurable impact in 2025
Throughout 2025, Mi Negoshi provided guidance and support to 105 entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journey, ranging from basic information services to intensive advisory trajectories. Of this group, 46 micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs were assisted in formalizing their operations, including registration with the Chamber of Commerce.
The distribution of entrepreneurs by business phase was as follows:
· 66 in the start-up phase
· 10 in the growth phase
· 10 in the mature phase
The remaining participants consisted of entrepreneurs who were still hesitant to take formal steps or were in the process of registration.
Coaching and business advisory services
Mi Negoshi facilitated 96 coaching trajectories during the year, of which 45 were fully completed. The organization worked with a pool of 24 business coaches who supported entrepreneurs throughout these processes. Most coaching programs lasted approximately 90 days and focused on providing structured, sustainable business support.
Entrepreneurs received tailored guidance in areas such as business planning and feasibility studies, financial administration and taxation, marketing strategies, operational structuring, and preparation for growth. According to Mi Negoshi, the sustained demand for this type of foundational support confirms the relevance of its practical, integrated and results-oriented advisory model.
Training and capacity building
In addition to one-on-one coaching, Mi Negoshi organized 16 training sessions and workshops in 2025, reaching a total of 302 participants. These sessions were delivered in collaboration with professional trainers and focused on strengthening entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy and sustainable commercial practices.
Networking and entrepreneurship events
One of the highlights of the year was the celebration of Entrepreneurs’ Day, an event dedicated to recognizing the contribution of micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to Curaçao’s economy. The event also served as a platform to strengthen connections between entrepreneurs, stakeholders and strategic partners.
Looking ahead to 2026
For 2026, Mi Negoshi plans to expand its service portfolio, introduce new digital tools and further strengthen the MSME sector. Continued collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development remains central, ensuring that programs remain aligned with Curaçao’s economic development priorities and that support for local entrepreneurs becomes even more accessible and impactful.
Mi Negoshi reaffirmed its commitment to providing practical, accessible and results-driven training, workshops and advisory services, contributing to continued growth, innovation and sustainability within Curaçao’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
