WILLEMSTAD - A 21-year-old soldier of the Curaçao Militia was sentenced yesterday to a fine of 1,540 guilders for three offenses.
After a party at the barracks, he got into his car, but was stopped at the gate by the military police with almost twice the permitted amount of alcohol in his blood.
He also did not have a driver's license and the car tax had not been paid.
The case occurred because after three reminders, the man still hadn't paid. He had been caught twice before for not having his driver's license.
