WILLEMSTAD - Former Minister of Health, Environment and Nature Suzanne could not influence the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC).
A woman had filed a lawsuit against the CMC because her application was unexpectedly terminated. The politician was named in the lawsuit.
Römer says that the judge himself indicated in the verdict that the CMC is responsible for hiring staff. The judge declined to say whether or not the former minister said anything about it. The Dutch director was also appointed, who has been focusing for years on the policy that locals are given more priority during job applications.
The Dutch origin of the woman would be sensitive, board members indicated after the rejection. According to the judge, there was no reason to terminate the application at that stage. At that time, the CMC had the intention of working with her. The woman had already quit her previous job with her employer after 29 years of service to join the CMC.
